An evening with Alisa Amador and the Damn Good Band,
with Sol y Canto's Rosi and Brian Amador.
Join Alisa Amador and the Damn Good Band (Berklee students
Noah Harrington on Bass and Sam Palermo on Drums) as well
as Rosi and Brian Amador, founders of the Boston Music Award
winning band, Sol y Canto, for an evening of original music,
alternative folk, Latin American classics, and improvisation
in a lovely, intimate setting. They will also be raising funds
for the victims of Hurricane María in Puerto Rico, which they'll
send to vetted community organizations in PR that are making
a huge difference on the ground.
Alisa Amador was raised in Latin music. Boston's folk rock
sounds flowed into her original music, and she now plays her
own blend of rock, jazz, latin-influenced alternative folk.
Her soulful singing, poetically honest lyrics, and syncopated
rhythms may cause you to cry, laugh or dance all within one set.
The Amador's joyful originals and Latin classics feature songs
of love, hope and social justice and their whimsical reflections
on what they observe in today's world. After 34 years traveling
the world they'll share their rich vocal harmony combined with
Spanish guitar, bongos and small percussion as well as a fun dose
of body percussion with their Lexington audience. Come sing along,
dance along, or do whatever your spirit moves you to do!
