Violinist MaeLynn Arnold and Pianist Sarah Broomell in Concert

MaeLynn Arnold is currently the concertmaster of the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Max Hobart. She received both her Bachelor of Music Degree and Master of Music degree in violin performance from Boston University, and spent a semester of her undergraduate program abroad at the Royal College of Music in London. She performs with the Boston Pops, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Odyssey Opera, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony, Orchestra of Indian Hill, Marsh Chapel Collegium, Lexington Symphony, and Cantata Singers. Ms. Arnold has spent summers performing at the Spoleto Festival USA, the Lucerne Festival Academy, Kent Blossom Music Festival, and has served on the faculty of the Duxbury Music Festival Preparatory Division and the Youth and Music Festival at the Boston Conservatory.
MaeLynn is first violinist of the Denovo Quartet, currently in residence at Somerville High School through the Boston Chamber Music Society. She is a certified Suzuki instructor and has served on the faculty at Winchester Community Music School 2015-2017, the South Shore Conservatory from 2010-2014, and the Aurora School of Music in Ohio from 2009-2010. Ms. Arnold is an established private instructor in Arlington where she resides with her husband and daughter.
Sarah Broomell accompanies the vocal studios of Kevin Wilson and Bryan DeSilva at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and group string classes at the Suzuki School of Newton. She was rehearsal pianist for the Boston Cecilia, Commonwealth Lyric Theater's "The Demon" (Lidiya Yankovskaya) and Boston Midsummer Opera "L'elisir d'amor" (Susan Davenny Wyner). Sarah and violinist MaeLynn Arnold enjoy playing house concerts where intimate settings facilitate a unique communal enjoyment of live music.
Sarah completed the Doctorate of Musical Arts in collaborative piano at UC-Santa Barbara and both the MM and BM from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She taught class piano for Montana State University's School of Music, Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, CA and Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne. She was choir director of St. James Episcopal Church, Bozeman, MT, the Women's Choir at UBC-Vancouver and the Central Coast Children's Choir in San Luis Obispo, CA. Sarah instructed Ear Training at Montana State University and at UBC-Vancouver. She was staff pianist for Opera San Luis Obispo, the University of Miami at Salzburg and the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Sarah and her son Iain live in Arlington.
